- Tottenham Hotspurs remained unbeaten in the EPL as they defeated Sunderland 1 - 0

- Crystal Palace had a commanding performance as they thumped Stoke City 4 - 1

- Charlie Austin scored the only goal in Southampton's 1 - 0 win over Swansea

Crystal Palace moved up to eight position with a comprehensive 4 - 1 win over Stoke City at Selhurst Park.

Defenders James Tomkins and Scott Dann got two headed goals from set pieces in the 9th and 12th minute of the match.

In the second half, James McArthur's deflected strike in the net was followed by an Andros Townsend's brilliant goal to put the Eagles 4 - 0 up.

Mario Arnautovic got the consolation for Stoke City with the final kick of the match after several misses from Manchester City on loan striker Wilfred Bony. It ended 4 - 1.

At Saint Mary's, it was Southampton that got the better of Swansea City with a lone strike from Charlie Austin.

The England international who scored a brace in the Saints'  3 - 0Europa Cup win against Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday, September 15, sent-in a rising shot to score the only goal of the game as it ended 1 - 0.

In the last fixture of week 5, Tottenham continued their unbeaten run of the season as Harry Kane's goal gave Spurs a deserved 1 - 0 win over Sunderland.

It was Kane second goal of the season after defender Papy Djiglobodji failed to clear his lines properly as Sunderland lost their fourth straight Premier League match of the season.

Spurs moved-up to third on the log behind Everton who are second and a point above Arsenal who moved up to fourth.

In the early fixture of the day, Watford fought past Manchester United with a 3-1 win at Vicarage Road with goals from Etienne Capoue, Juan Zuniga and Troy Deeney while Marcus Rashford got the only goal for United.

The next round of matches in the EPL comes up between the 24th and 26th of September where the star matches for the round will be between Manchester United against Leicester City, as well as the London derby where Arsenal host Chelsea.
