Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has included Cristiano Ronaldo in a list of two Man United legends he would love to re-sign for the club.

Solskjaer did play alongside Ronaldo during his trophy-laden career with United, with the pair enjoying a close partnership before the Norwegian hung his boots.

However, despite the duo not playing together for long enough, Solskjaer named the Portuguese among the former United players he would proudly have back if he had the chance to.

The Man United boss made the admission during a Q&A session with the club's fans, with one asking him to name a Red Devils legend he would want in his current team.

The 48-year-old struggled to make a final choice having had the chance to play with the best of the best before he finally narrowed down his options to Ronaldo and Roy Keane.

"There are a few players I’ve played with that I’d love to have in my team, of course. I’d love the player Roy Keane, I’m not sure if I could manage him though..
"I played with Cristiano and he’s been the best player in the world alongside [Lionel] Messi for the past 10 to 15 years now, so Cristiano. You’d take him in your team, for sure.

Solskjaer's admission on his desire to have Ronaldo in his squad came at a time the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is staring at an uncertain future with Juventus after the Italian giants were bundled out of the Champions League in the last 16 by FC Porto.

Despite securing a 3-2 win over Porto in the second leg of the fixture, the Italian giants were dumped out of the competition on the away goal rule.

It has been claimed Juve are willing to let go Ronaldo in the summer, with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain being linked with a stunning move for the 36-year-old.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho has singled out Arsenal squad for praise just hours before the two sides lock horns in the north London derby.

The two rival clubs are scheduled to square off in a Premier League clash on Sunday, March 14, at the Emirates, as they push for a European football slot after a disappointing campaign this season.
