Man United were rampant on the day, thumping their opponents 6-2 to set one foot on the final.

Pogba was among the goalscorers on the day as he found the net with a header to make the scores 5-2.

It was a commendable effort from the French World Cup winner, who was fasting for the first 30 minutes of the game.

His first half was a bit sluggish and was responsible for the concession of a penalty which helped Roma to a 2-1 lead.

However, after the break, the Frenchman had broken his fast and came out much more energetic and managed to get in on the action with a goal.

Despite fasting for some parts of the game, Pogba managed to play the full 90 minutes as Solskjaer brought off Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Fred.

Pogba is not the only Premier League player who has found himself on duty during the holy month of Ramadan.

On Monday, Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana was extremely grateful on Monday, April 26, after he was allowed an early shower from a football match so he could break a fast.

The defender was allowed a short break in the 35th minute to break his fast during the clash against Crystal Palace.

In a past interview with British daily The Times’ Life Times, Pogba admitted he was not raised as a muslim despite his mother practising Islam.
