Pogba is currently staring at an uncertain future at Old Trafford after his agent, Mino Raiola, claimed earlier in the season the midfielder is unhappy at Old Trafford.

Raiola has repeatedly linked the World Cup-winning midfielder with a move away in recent months in a development that has not gone down well with United's support base.

However, SunSport reports a number of key Red Devils players are desperate to see Pogba commit his future to the club as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues rebuilding.

The publication, citing a source at Old Trafford claimed the France international is an influential figure in the dressing room, with a number of his teammates regarding him as a leader and captain.

“Paul may be regarded with suspicion by a lot of the fanbase because of his agent courting other clubs, but there is no doubt where the players stand with him," SunSport quoted the source saying.
“They recognise he is one of the team’s stars and he is as desperate as they are for the club to be successful again. He is well-liked by all his team-mates and no one wants him to leave," the source added.

Pogba, who has a year left on his current contract with Man United made a stunning return to Old Trafford from Juventus in the summer of 2016 for a club-record fee of £89million.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Solskjaer hinted earlier in February United could extend a new deal for him.

Should he decide to leave, the 28-year-old will not be short of options, with Real Madrid and Juventus previously linked with a potential transfer move.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how reports from the Old Trafford have it that Edinson Cavani is set to depart Manchester United as soon as the summer transfer window opens.

It was gathered that the 34-year-old may be heading to South America after spending a staggering 14 years in Europe playing for top teams.

Cavani has enjoyed a relatively successful first year at Old Trafford, contributing six goals and two assists from 19 outings in the Premier League.
