  • Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen could be making a move to Premier League side Manchester United in the summer
  • The Red Devils have included the Napoli man on their transfer list alongside Harry Kane and Tammy Abraham
  • For United to sign Osimhen, they must be aware that other clubs are also interested and should offer Napoli a good deal

Manchester United have reportedly shortlisted names of four strikers they are looking up to sign in the summer with the Nigerian and Napoli strongman Victor Osimhen among their targets.

This comes hours after the Red Devils suffered the most heartbreaking defeat in their history, losing 7-0 against Liverpool in a Premier League game played on Sunday, 5 March.

United fans were all disappointed after the match and that has put manager Erik ten Hag under serious pressure as he must go back to the drawing board to seek redemption.

According to a report on Football Insider, the Old Trafford chiefs feel Osimhen can help them get the goals next season in all competition.

Who are the other targets?

The report added that Harry Kane, Tammy Abraham and Benjamin Sesko are the other strikers the Red Devils have put on their list ahead of the transfer window.

United's position on the EPL

Despite suffering a humiliating defeat against Liverpool, United are still occupying third position on the Premier League table and ten Hag will want to maintain it so as to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Stats about Man United

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how it was a Sunday to forget for Manchester United after they were beaten by seven goals by their fiercest rival, Liverpool in the North-West derby.

The two teams went into the half-time with the Reds only one goal up through January signing, Cody Gakpo but things escalated quickly in the second half and six more goals were added to the scoreline to make it an embarrassment for United.

The demolition was Man United's biggest Premier League loss in their history, as reported by ABC, surpassing their previous records of 6-1 defeats to Manchester City and Tottenham.
