Ronaldo's exit, which rendered him clubless during the World Cup, was birthed from his explosive interview in which he took aim at prominent figures at the club.

Since then, the 38-year-old has swapped Europe for the Middle East, signing a deal with Al-Nassr until 2025 to receive the biggest salary in the history of the game, per GOAL.

He has since taken to the Saudi Pro League like a duck to water, scoring eight goals and contributing with two assists in five matches.

Assessing the performance of Ronaldo, his 'football son', the veteran manager expressed joy with his performance while commending what he has brought to the table at Al-Nassr.

“I was pleased with what I saw of the always loyal and creative son, Cristiano Ronaldo and what he has presented with his new team Al-Nassr," the 81-year-old former coach said as quoted by CristianoXtra.

Ronaldo hails Ferguson's influence

Ronaldo was a relative unknown when he arrived at Man United as a teenager in 2003, even though he showed obvious glimpses of the talent, Sports Brief has reported.

Sir Alex Ferguson put in a lot of effort to transform the boy into a man, and by the time he left Man United six years later, his star had won everything and also had a Ballon d'Or.

In an interview with Livescore, the brand he is an ambassador for, the striker acknowledged and applauded Sir Alex's influence on his career and helping him reach the heights he has.

Ruthless Ronaldo nets another triple

Sports Brief also reported on Ronaldo notching his second hat-trick in a first-half goal blitz for Al-Nassr against Damac on Saturday.

He broke the game's deadlock via an 18th minute penalty, then continued his menacing form in front of goal with a sizzling finish.

Ronaldo scored the third for himself and the team when he rifled a strike into the roof of the net after he being teed up by a teammate.
