The Brazilian star was shown a straight red card during a melee which rocked the match on Saturday, February 4.

According to The Mirror, a scuffle among both sets of players erupted with just 20 minutes left on the clock, after Jeffrey Schlupp sent Antony flying.

The publication adds that referee, Andre Marriner struggled to split up the warring teams and subsequently booked both Antony and Schlupp.

However, an incident involving Casemiro and Hughes was subjected to a VAR review, with the Man United midfielder getting a red card after he appeared to have grabbed his opponent by the throat.

A new footage from the incident has now surfaced proving that Casemiro may have been sent off unjustly.

In the video, the former Real Madrid star appears to have grabbed Hughes by the shirt, and not by the neck as earlier adjudge.

The fresh angle was shared on TikTok by a user going by the name @strettyend, as cited by Mirror UK.

The new video comes after United boss, Erik ten Hag revealed that the club are mulling lodging an appeal against the red card.

As it stands, Casemiro is set to miss three fixtures, including a doubleheader against Leeds United.
