Manchester City will wait a little longer to confirm their Premier League title following their 2-1 home loss to Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds.

When Leeds held City back in October, the Blues had taken just four points from their first three games, and would continue their inconstistent start until December.

However, since a draw with West Brom, City have won 27 of their last 28, and are 14 points clear in the table.

Leeds surprisingly took the lead in the encounter when Stuart Dallas struck with just two minutes to the end of the first half to put his side ahead.

And in stoppage-time of the first stanza, the visitors were reduced to 10-men following a dangerous tackle by Liam Cooper.

Eleven against ten is always tough, but playing against a team like City makes the opposition work incredibly hard off the ball, and which had a stack of incredible talent waiting to come off the bench, it was a whole lot harder.

Pep Guardiola's side increased their attacking prowess in the second half and in the 52nd minute, a succession of corners and free kicks from City, were defended by the determined opposition.

And Manchester City restored parity in the 75th minute after Fernandinho found Bernardo, who just kept himself onside and sliped in Ferran Torres to sweep home. 1-1.

However, Marcelo Bielsa's side had another plan late on when Dallas moved past Ederson for his second of the game. He slotted home in style as it ended; Manchester City 1-2 Leeds United.

City suffer three home defeats in a season for the first time under Pep Guardiola. A very frustrating afternoon.

Manchester City attacker Kevin de Bruyne tops the Premier League highest earners table with a staggering £385k-a-week deal.

The Belgian signed a new five-year contract extension earlier this week having originally joined them from Wolfsburg in 2015.

After spending six years at the Etihad Stadium, the 29-year-old has already won two EPL titles including four EFL Cups, one FA Cup, and a Community Shield.
