Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has expressed his displeasure with VAR after it denied him a chance to make history on Saturday, January 28.

According to The Mirror, the England international was looking to set a Man United record against Reading during their FA Cup meeting at Old Trafford.

A goal against The Royals would have seen Rashy become the first United star in 10 consecutive home matches at the Theatre of Dreams.

Rashford hits out at VAR

The 25-year-old thought he had achieved the milestone earlier on in the first half but the goal was chalked off by VAR.

The goal had initially been given only for VAR to rule it out after Wout Weghorst was adjudged to have been offside.

Rashford later took to Twitter to express his fury at seeing his goal fail to stand.

"Unfortunately, VAR got the better of me again today. That's 3 times this season (angry emoji)," the forward tweeted.
"Breaking the record for consecutive goals at OT would have been incredible, but I'm proud to have equalled Dennis Viollet’s record," he added.

Rashford recovers in ice chamber

Rashford continued his goalscoring run in the 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final and ahead of the match revealed his ice chamber recovery, as earlier reported by Sports Brief.

He uploaded the picture on his Instagram account, showing him going beyond the limits to keep up his fitness amid concerns of injuries in the past games.

Erik Ten Hag has made him a different player and urged him to sign a new contract as he is the core of the Manchester United team he is building.
