Controversial media personality, Piers Morgan has now asked Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag to ask Cristiano Ronaldo for forgiveness if Arsenal wins the Premier League.

Ronaldo and ten Hag fell out in a distasteful fashion, after the Portuguese star went on record to say he did not respect the manager, as well as making other critical remarks about the club.

Ronaldo's contract at Old Trafford was ripped apart before the World Cup in Qatar. He has since sealed a move to Saudi Arabian side, Al-Nassr.

Morgan, who is a staunch fan of both Ronaldo and Arsenal, has now claimed that ten Hag needs to beg for forgiveness when Arsenal beats them to the Premier League title.

Arsenal vs Manchester United

The TV host was speaking to Talk Sport ahead of the much-awaited clash between the two teams on Sunday. The Red Devils are the only team to have beaten the log leaders this season.

Another victory would blow the title race wide open.

Morgan believes that Man United stands no chance of going toe-to-toe with the Gunners, simply because they offloaded Ronaldo.

"When we win the league and when United do not win the league, because they got rid of the GOAT, I expect Erik ten Hag to get on bended knee, beg me for forgiveness, and apologise to Cristiano Ronaldo for the shocking disrespect that he showed him."

Supercomputer predicts EPL standings

Sports Brief had earlier reported that a supercomputer has predicted the final Premier League standings, after Arsenal and Manchester United won their respective derbies.

The Gunners and the Red Devils were the biggest gainers of matchweek 20, with the former seeing off Tottenham in the North London derby to open an eight-point lead atop the standings.

Man United, meanwhile, stunned rivals Man City 2-1 at Old Trafford, to narrow the gap between them and the reigning champions to just a point.
