Dalot Shares Blame With de Gea for Howler in Man Utd Win Over Everton

Manchester United continue their winning run by beating relegation battling Everton 3-1 in the third round of football's oldest and biggest competition, the FA Cup. It was United's fifth win in as many games and ensured progress to the next round.

Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea, who has become a man for errors on the big occasions, took the spotlight again for allowing the ball go through his legs from a cross before defender Conor Coady slotted into an empty net to make it 1-1.

Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot has now shared responsibility with De Gea for the goal. He was the closest to the Everton defender, failing to react on time and allowing the Englishman to draw the game level.

Conor Coady may have been gifted a goal by United, he was also a hero for the Reds. He deflected a Marcus Rashford's shot into his own net to put United back in the lead.

Dalot has now opened up on his conversation with De Gea for his error in Coady's goal. Speaking to beIN Sports after the game, as quoted by Manchester Evening News, he said the shot stopper did not expect the ball to go through.

''I spoke to David at half-time and he was not expecting the ball to go through his legs, even I was not expecting the ball to go through his legs, so I will take responsibility, I could have reacted a little bit quicker,'' he said.

As noted by Daily Mail, in- form forward Rashford added the third in the later minutes of the game from the spot, after Ben Godfrey fouled youngster Alejandro Garnacho.

De Gea warns Madrid off Garnacho

The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper may have let an horrible one in on the pitch, he has been on the lookout for the future of the club off the pitch in recent weeks.
