Lingard receives warm reception

Sports Brief earlier reported that Jesse Lingard received a rapturous reception from Manchester United fans, upon his first return to Old Trafford.

Lingard was part of the Nottingham Forest team that played against the Old Trafford residents on December 27, in his first-ever appearance against his boyhood club.

However, the England international could not make an impact against his former side, as goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial helped the Red Devils to a 2-0 lead before half-time.
