According to Marca, the veteran forward has added another asset to his multimillion array of investments.

The publication reports that the 37-year-old has bought the most expensive house in Portugal, valued at around $11 million.

Located in the region of Cascais, the villa is estimated to be worth $21 million after remodelling and all the construction.

The three-storeyed villa sits on 544 square meters and features incredible extras, including gardens and a fabulous swimming pool.

Why Ronaldo bought the villa

While it remains unclear why Ronaldo acquired the property, it is rumoured that it is part of his preparations to return to Portugal.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is reportedly planning to wind up his illustrious football career in his home country, with boyhood club Sporting Lisbon favourites to re-sign him.

Ronaldo has already entered the final months of his Man United contract, with his deal set to expire at the end of the ongoing season.

And with his form declining, it is unlikely he will be offered a new contract at Old Trafford.

Palmeiras team recreates Ronaldo's celebration

Earlier, Sports Brief reported the Palmeiras Women's team has gone viral after pulling off the now-trendy 'peace of mind' celebration.

The team was celebrating after beating Boca Juniors during the Copa Libertadores at the weekend.

Cristiano Ronaldo debuted the celebration earlier in the month after he scored his 700th club goal against Everton.

The celebration involves one standing upright with their head back, eyes closed, and fingers crossed in front of their chests.
