Nigerian coach Folabi Ojekunle has encouraged those in charge of Premier League side Manchester United to go for the signing of Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.

This comes after Uzoho produced a fantastic performance while featuring for his club, Omonia, on Thursday night, 13 Ocotber, in the Europa League against the Red Devils.

In the tie against the Old Trafford landlords, Uzoho made 12 saves, denying the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Rashford, even though he later conceded at the death to give Man United 1-0 win.

Speaking exclusively to Sports Brief, Ojekunle, who is a London trained coach, explained that Uzoho has shown the world his ability and wants the goalkeeper to move to Man United.

''To be very honest with you, if I were Man United coach, I will invite Francis Uzoho to come to Old Trafford for me to see him well because he really impressed not only me, but many football fans around the world.
''I will enjoin Manchester United to sign him as replacement for De Gea or someone who can give the Spaniard serious competition.''

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho produced his best goalkeeping performance during his team's match with Manchester United in the Europa League.

The Nigerian international made 12 saves at Old Trafford, denying United repeatedly, but the hosts finally scored through Scott McTominay's last-gasp goal.

As the match continued in the first half, Uzoho looked like a man on a mission, stopping everything thrown his way. Many fans believed it would be 'one of those nights'.

He thwarted Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Antony but was finally beaten by United's 34th minute. However, it was a performance worthy of praise.
