  • The £2.9 million luxury mansion in Manchester still has Pogba's initials displayed in the living area
  • Antony joined United this summer and started well, scoring in his first two Premier League games.

Newly signed Manchester United player Antony is settling in smoothly at Manchester after a big mover from Ajax this past summer.

The Brazilian recently purchased a luxury mansion previously occupied by Paul Pogba before leaving the club in July. Pogba had occupied the house since 2016.

Antony bought the house for £2.9 million and plans on customising it for himself, suggesting a few details he would like to change, according to a video by ESPN.

At first glance, the pool table still has the initials 'PP', something Antony says he wants to change to AS - the initials for his name, Antony Santos.

Antony plans for his new mansion

Antony added that he looks forward to occupying a house owned by a star, just like him:

"It was Paul Pogba's house. There is a 'P' from Pogba still here. This is one of the things he made, so I'm going to start to change, right? I need to put the 'AS' for Antony Santos. He isn't staying here anymore."
"Yeah... he has a high standard. But I'm happy to be in the house that belonged to a star player."

The elegant, stylish house also features an indoor pool, according to The Sun.

The 22-year-old Brazilian has made a decent start to life at Old Trafford. He scored a brilliant goal on his debut versus Arsenal. In Sunday's derby, he scored a stunning goal, although it counted for nothing in the team's miserable 6-3 loss.

Antony accused of ignoring instructions

Sports Brief earlier reported on Antony ignoring Erik ten Hag's instructions during the derby.

Ten Hag needed Antony to help fullback Diogo Dalot, who was having a poor game and was already carrying a yellow card.

Reports indicate that Antony's indiscipline in the match exposed Dalot, who faced a tough time against Jack Grealish.
