Scholes surprised by Casemiro passing range

Former United midfielder Paul Scholes has admitted that he was surprised by Casemiro's passing range during United's Europa League outing against Sheriff Tiraspol, according to the Daily Mail.

He surprised me a little bit with his forward passing, his range of passing.

Scholes said he believed the five-time Champions League winner was more of a destroyer since he played with Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

I thought he was more of a winner, getting the ball back in midfield. It was Kroos and Modric last year; he has more to his game and showed more of a range to his game.'

The Brazilian, a £70 million acquisition from Real Madrid has not seen a lot of action since making his move to Old Trafford in the summer. Scholes, who is always dubbed as one of the greatest midfielders to ever play the game, stressed that Casemiro will need to do more in order to dislodge Scott McTominay in the line-up.

Eventually he will work his way into this team, but he's going to have to wait a little bit... That's his first game for some time and I think he will, eventually, with the quality he's got, work his way into the team.

The Brazilian has been limited to appearances from the bench since becoming a Red Devil and is hoping to play more when the league resumes after the international break.

Casemiro orders referee dossiers before a match

Sports Brief earlier reported on why Casemiro orders a dossier on referees before the match.

As a deep lying midfielder, Casemiro is always at risk of receiving a yellow or even a red card, therefore he needs to know how officials referee a match.

Casemiro received 92 yellow cards for Real Madrid but surprisingly enough got just two reds in Spain in 336 games.
