Six years ago, a young Japanese footballer was ridiculed by his own people when he told Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo that he would love to play with him in the future.

Ryota Iwaoka is the name of the Japanese youngster and he was 12 when he had the opportunity to meet his idol Cristiano Ronaldo who was then playing for Real Madrid.

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best footballers in the world and the Portuguese is also someone upcoming footballers will all love to meet and have talks with.

So back in 2014, Ryota Iwaoka was in joyous mood when he was given the chance to interview Cristiano Ronaldo in question and answer segment.

And while discussing with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Iwaoka made it clear that his dream is to grow up and play on the same pitch with Cristiano Ronaldo.

The audience were surprised with such statement and they started mocking the youngster in which Cristiano Ronaldo was also not happy with.

Below was the question Ryota Iwaoka asked Cristiano Ronaldo according to the report on Marca.

"Good afternoon, my name is Ryota. My dream is to be a football player and have the pleasure of playing with you one day. What should I do to achieve that goal?"

Cristiano Ronaldo told Iwaoka that he should have the believe make efforts and never miss his chances.

Six years after, the Japanese player is already 18 and recently led his team Yamanashi Gakuin to winning the All Japan High School Soccer Tournament.
