Coach Erik ten Hag and his charges would hope the launch of the third kit will inspire the club to greener pastures this term after suffering a setback in the Premier League opener against Brighton last Sunday.

Discussing the story behind the design, Inigo Turner, Design Director at Adidas, United's kit manufacturers, said: “A convergence of cultural icons remixed and recoded, the 22/23 third kit takes its inspiration from the iconic Manchester United graphic identity, using geometric shapes and patterns.
“We’ve blended these with a new interpretation of a classic club colour for a fresh, eye-catching kit.”

How Man United could lineup against Brentford as Red Devils chase first win of the season

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Erik ten Hag could make at least three changes from the team that played Brighton when Machester United take on Brentford on Sunday.

United kicked off the new Premier League season on a disappointing note after they suffered a 2-1 defeat against the Seagulls at Old Trafford last Saturday.

Ten Hag was hoping for a dream start to life in his Premier League debut during the clash, only to be handed a reality check by Brighton.
