  • Raheem Sterling did not miss an opportunity to take a swipe at Manchester United's winger Jadon Sancho for name-dropping Cristiano Ronaldo every time
  • The two were at an England camp when Sancho kept reminding Sterling that he and Ronaldo were teammates
  • Ronaldo rejoined Manchester United last season and went on to have a stellar individual campaign despite the team's poor results

A hilarious video showing Raheem Sterling poking fun at his international teammate Jadon Sancho has popped up online.

The two are seen clad in England shirts as they watch some of the best goals scored at grassroots levels.

While discussing one of the goals, Sancho brings up Cristiano Ronaldo's name to which Sterling savagely replies,

Every day Ronaldo, we get it, bro, you play with him.

Sancho then proceeds to cheekily ask Sterling if he wants the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's shirt. Sancho joined United last summer at the same time when Ronaldo was making a comeback for his second stint at Old Trafford.

The young winger was seemingly over the moon that he has the opportunity to share the dressing room with one of the greatest players ever.

FIFA World Cup

Both Sterling and Sancho will be working overtime to impress Three Lions head coach Gareth Southgate ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Sterling has swapped clubs from Manchester City for Chelsea in a bid to get more playing time and breath a new direction into Thomas Tuchel's attack.

Sancho meanwhile will be hoping for a better second season under Erik ten Hag. The former Borussia Dortmund winger was dropped by Southgate in the last international break.

Harry Maguire dismisses rumours of a possible conflict between him and Cristiano Ronaldo

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has for the first time spoken about the alleged rift between him and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Reports had been rife that Maguire did not take the news of Ronaldo's return to the club too well. He allegedly felt that his position as the club's captain was underwhelmed or undermined by the presence of the Portuguese star.

However, Maguire has dismissed these as rumours. He has instead hailed Ronaldo's impact on United's dressing room.
