Manchester United are understood to have reignited their interest in signing Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan. United were linked with the full-back in the early stages of the transfer window, but those rumours quietened down.

Another surprise name in the form of Paris Saint-Germain's Achraf Hakimi has also popped up. United boss Erik ten Hag is quickly settling into his new role and is seeking to build a competitive side for the upcoming season.

The Red Devils have already signed Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez. And as Football Transfers now reports, Ten Hag is set to instruct the club to look into the possibility of getting either of the aforementioned defenders.

Inter Milan are understood to have no qualms with Dumfries leaving provided the right offer arrives. Hakimi, meanwhile, will be a tall order given that he was just signed last summer, and he is expected to be involved heavily in Christophe Galtier's plans.

The United Stand reports that the club understands that the Moroccan international could be too costly should PSG decide to sell.

Ten Hag at the moment has Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan Bissaka. Southampton's Kyle-Walker Peters has also been considered.
