Sporting Lisbon (2002-2003)

However, he was rested on the sidelines due to an ankle problem as Los Blancos lost their first game with the presence of their inspirational player.

He ended his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu with 23 goals, his highest run ever but ended the season without a trophy.
