Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has defended Cristiano Ronaldo after the forward refused to resume Pre-season training with Manchester United.
The 37-year-old striker was supposed to resume on Monday, July 4, at the Carrington training base of the team but has cited family reasons for not showing up for three consecutive days.
Rio Ferdinand has now backed Ronaldo’s decision to stay away from Manchester United as he insists the forward is presently not happy at Manchester United Daily Mail reports.
