Carlos Tevez has been handed his first managerial role since his retirement from professional football as the Argentine has bagged a deal with Rosario Central.
The former Manchester United striker only announced his retirement earlier this month bringing to an end a spectacular playing career that spanned over two decades and included over 300 club goals.

Tevez has been entrusted with a one-year deal by the Argentine club and will be assisted by Carlos Retegui would form part of Tevez’s coaching staff the Irish Mirror reports.

Tevez, who played for seven seasons in English football, withdrew from the game in 2021 after losing his father to Covid but has now returned to the game in his first managerial role.
Tevez had a successful football career and played for some of the best teams in the world including Manchester United, West Ham, Manchester City, Juventus, and Boca Juniors.
Tevez lacks qualifications to be new Rosario Central head coach
Meanwhile, Carlos Tevez may not be allowed to manage the team at Rosario Central when he starts his first managerial job due to his lack of coaching qualifications Talk Sport reports.
The Argentine star has recently been appointed as head coach of Rosario Central after penning a 12-month contract with the Argentine Primera Division side.
Tevez’s assistant, Carlos Retegui will officially take charge of the team but the former Manchester United player will still be recognized as the head coach of Rosario Central.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported former Manchester United forward Carlos Tevez has recounted how he was gifted a Lamborghini by Wayne Rooney at Old Trafford.
