  • Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur have been predicted to finish in the top-four next season
  • City have been backed to retain the Premier League title once again, with Liverpool coming short in their hope to wrestle Pep Guardiola's side for the title
  • Fulham and Bournemouth are expected to get relegated at the end of next season, with Nottingham Forest also going down should they be promoted this term

A supercomputer has predicted the final Premier League table for the 2022/23 season.

According to the supercomputer's prediction, incoming Man United boss Erik ten Hag will have a tough start to life at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag officially took charge of United at the end of the season and will be hoping to steer them to greater heights next season.

However, that may not be the case, with betting app SBK predicting the Red Devils will only manage a fifth-place finish.

The supercomputer backed Manchester City to win the Premier League title for the third season in a row ahead of Liverpool who will have to contend with another second-place finish.

Chelsea are predicted to seal the top three podium, with Tottenham Hotspur earning a Champions League slot once again in fourth place.

Arsenal predicted to miss out on Champions League qualification

Arsenal are expected to finish sixth next term in another disappointing season that will see them miss out on Champions League qualification.

Goal reports the Gunners have not played in the European football elite competition for five years now, with their last appearance coming during the 2015/16 season.

Mikel Arteta's charges came close to sealing a top-four finish during the just-concluded campaign but lost the slot to rivals, Tottenham.

Fulham, Bournemouth to be relegated

Meanwhile, the supercomputer's prediction painted a grim picture for both Bournemouth and Fulham.

The two teams were recently promoted back to the Premier League after a spectacular campaign in the Championship.

However, they are predicted to go down once again next season, with Nottingham Forest heralded to finish bottom in the event they get promoted to the top-flight this season.

Erik ten Hag sets target for Man United next season

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Erik ten Hag has said Manchester United have no choice but to break into the top four next season.

The new United boss noted that a return to Champions League is the bare minimum the club can target.

The Red Devils endured a frustrating 2021/22 season where they had to settle for a sixth-place finish with 58 points.
