Pep Guardiola sends Man United cheeky invite

With City having one hand on the Premier League title, Guardiola has sent Man United fans a cheeky invite, asking them to join them in celebrations.

According to the Daily Mail, Guardiola extended the invitation to United supporters after he found out that a huge number of the Red Devils faithful is rooting for City to win the league ahead of Liverpool.

The publication claims that United fans don’t want their bitter rivals, Liverpool, to equal the Red Devils' record of 20 league championships and so supporting City is regarded as a lesser evil.

"So United likes City more than Liverpool? Oh my God, I didn’t know it," admitted Guardiola.

"Welcome to United fans if they want to join us in the streets but they have to wear the blue shirts, they have to wear it," he added.

Man United target sixth-place finish ahead of the final day of the season

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester United will be looking to seal a sixth-place finish during their trip to Crystal Palace in what will be their last match of the 2021/22 season.

United are assured of European football next season despite a frustrating campaign that has seen them end the season without a trophy.

Ralf Rangnick's charges currently sit sixth on the standings with 58 points, two points ahead of West Ham United who occupy seventh place.
