Cristiano Ronaldo Mourning Death of One His Relatives as Sisters Pay Emotional Tribute

Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo is bereaved at the moment having lost one of his uncles to the cold hands of death.

The Portuguese striker’s sisters Katia and Elma Aviero took to their Instagram handles to mourn the late uncle writing emotional tributes.

Katia who currently resides in Brazil expressed shock on receiving news of their uncle’s passage saying they had great moments together.

Katia wrote via SunSport:

“I didn’t expect news like this. Today my heart is in mourning and now just memories are left.

“Rest in peace my dear uncle. I will remember our good moments together.

“I thought I was going to see you again, to laugh with you, to give you a hug again.”

The unnamed uncle has been described as a brother of Cristiano’s mum Dolores Aveiro - who suffered her own health scare last year.

The 66-year-old was rushed to hospital on March 3, 2020, in her native island of Madeira after suffering an ischemic stroke.

Meanwhile, Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has stated that having a superstar like Cristiano Ronaldo is something to cherish, adding that it is a privilege.

Ronaldo shrugged-off a bad performance in the Champions League earlier in the week to score a 32-minute hat-trick in the Serie A against Cagliari as they keep their league title hopes alive.

The Portuguese striker was heavily criticised over the two legs against FC Porto with many accusing him of betraying his team-mates when it mattered most.

He neither recorded nor assisted any goal in the two-legged affair which saw the Serie A giants crash out of the championship early.

The club’s sporting director Fabio Paratici has insisted that Ronaldo being on the Serie A champions' books is something to cherish.

However, Legit.ng earlier reported that multiple Ballon d’Or winners Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have failed to make the top 3 candidates shortlisted for the prestigious award for 2021.

Robert Lewandowski, Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are the three frontrunners for the prestigious prize year.

Messi and Ronaldo have dominated the awards for more than a decade with the duo splitting between themselves 11 awards as the Argentine won it six times while his Portuguese counterpart has scooped it five times.
