Manchester United icon, Wayne Rooney has disclosed his biggest disappointment after revealing a strange relationship with Carlos Tevez during their time at Old Trafford.

Both strikers were part of a formidable Red Devils team under manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, and went on to win the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles together in 2008.

According to a report via Daily Star, Rooney has now opened up on his embarrassing moment with Tevez while trying to build a rapport with the Argentine striker during his time at Old Trafford.

"For two years I loved playing with him. I used to pick him up from his house for Champions League games and drive him to the airport," Rooney told The Sun.
"We’d play the game and come back. And, honestly, I spoke to him for 30 minutes, and I had no idea what is coming out of his mouth.
"He is mumbling and nothing, nothing. I was devastated, it was the biggest disappointment of my life."

Tevez joined Manchester United on loan for €12m from West Ham in 2007 and quickly established a great partnership with Rooney and Ronaldo in attack for the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has criticized the attitude of former teammate and current Manchester United top scorer, Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Daily Post, the Derby County manager has said the Portugal striker is still annoying as a player.

The former England captain still had good words for Ronaldo as he revealed the 37-year-old is an exceptional player who is very good at playing football.

Wayne Rooney inducted into the Premier League hall of fame

Earlier, Sports Brief reported former England forward Wayne Rooney has become the latest Manchester United legend to be inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame on Wednesday.

The former Red Devils captain joins the likes of Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, David Beckham, Eric Cantona, and Roy Keane in the illustrious group, according to the club's official website.

Rooney netted 253 career goals for Manchester United to become the Red Devils’ highest-ever goal-scorer during his stint with the club.
