New Roma manager Jose Mourinho has lashed out at Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur over what he termed 'unfair' treatment.
The 58-year-old was recently presented to over 10,000 fans in Rome as he begins his reign with the Italian League side in the coming season.
Before his appointment as the Giallorossi new boss, he was out of a job for about two months after Spurs fired him less than two years after he was hired.
This was after he had powered the North London club to the final of the EFL Cup but just one week before the meeting with Manchester City, he was shown the exit doors.
Mourinho aims a dig at man United and Tottenham
And the former Chelsea and Real Madrid handler believes he has been a victim of his past achievements. The Special One was quoted by Daily Star, saying:
“I’m a victim for what I’ve done in the past. For others, my ‘disasters’ are a success. I won 3 titles at United and they were not even considered and they stole me a cup final at Tottenham."
Pep Guardiola's men went ahead to deny Spurs their first title since 2008 after City won the match by a lone goal.
Mourinho highlighted his achievements in numbers
After his departure, Tottenham struggled to find a replacement for Mourinho for some time before eventually settling for Nuno Espirito Santo. He added:
"The criticisms? I have nothing to answer.
"My last three clubs. Scudetto (title) with Chelsea, three cups with United, a final with Tottenham. What for me is a disaster someone has never done in their life. That's how it is. It's my fault.
"I will work 24 hours, except for a few hours to rest. I will do everything to defend my players and my club, I will not look for problems. I want to have fun and I think we can all have fun."
