According to the Mirror, Mills believes the World Cup winner has struggled with the intensity in the Premier League because the French defender isn't used to such high-level football being played weekly.

"I questioned Varane’s signing when he first came in and whether he could deal with the intensity of our league.
"He had quite a few injury problems.
"In La Liga, you’re probably playing seven or eight tough games a season; in the Premier League, every week is a tough game."

Raphael Varane has made just 22 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions this season, with 16 in the EPL, 4 in the Champions League, and 2 FA Cup appearances.

Meanwhile, Manchester United's players are growing increasingly exhausted of the continuous selection of Harry Maguire in games.

According to Spanish news outlet Marca, Maguire's place in the starting line-up at the Old Trafford club has reportedly been questioned by other players in the squad.
