Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Manchester United’s sacking of Ole Gunner Solksjaer has proven costly for the club after the Old Trafford club disclosed their financial figures for the second quarter of the year.

The Norwegian manager was sacked in November 2021 following poor results with Manchester United struggling to keep pace with the top four position in the Premier League.

Ole Gunner Solksjaer received a hefty £7.5million compensation package after his sacking in November.

The Red Devils confirmed they handed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and certain members of his staff which included former United midfielder, Michael Carrick a collective payout of up to £10m.

Solksjaer had recently signed a new three-year deal with the Red Devils earlier after emerging second in the Premier League and reaching the Europa League final the previous season.
