Cristiano Ronaldo has launched his new boots with Sportswear giants Nike after revealing he will be wearing the Mercurial Superfly VIII Elite Dream Speed 5 for the rest of the season.

Ronaldo has been the face of the Nike Mercurial Boot line since making his professional debut with Portuguese club side Sporting Lisbon in 2002.

According to The Sun, the new boots cost £245 a pair and is apparently embodies Ronaldo's power of the mind and meditation says the manufacturers Nike.

"The Nike Mercurial Dream Speed Vapor 14 Elite embodies Cristiano Ronaldo's greatest self-proclaimed strength: the power of the mind and meditation.
"Calming shades of green work together with energizing tones of purple and yellow, resulting in a boot that radiates positivity.

The 37-year old has been part of more than 30 signature Nike Mercurial versions since his first in 2010.

Ronaldo to break more records in Leeds fixture

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo can etch his name on the record books in this weekend’s Premier League game against Leeds.

According to a report via Manchester Evening News, should the Portugal captain be selected to face Leeds on Sunday, February 20, it will have been 18 years and 125 days since the last time he faced Leeds, breaking a Premier League record in the process.

Ronaldo has featured against the West Yorkshire club in 2003 in a Premier League fixture and United won 1-0 thanks to the solitary goal of then captain, Roy Keane.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported, Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri aimed a subtle dig at Cristiano Ronaldo by suggesting the players ‘now play as a team’ after the Portuguese superstar’s exit.
