The debate for who the best is between Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo and PSG's Lionel Messi continues to linger on, with several footballers having their opinions on the two rivals.

Ghana's Kevin Prince-Boateng seems to have settled the argument after claiming Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in the world while Lionel Messi's ability is unmatched in the universe.

The German-born Ghanaian was emphatic in his decision, although he shared a dressing room with Messi at Barcelona.

"For a young player, Cristiano must be the best example, because he works hard, and he also has talent, of course," began the former Barça player, among many other teams," he said as quoted by Spanish tabloid, es.bessoccer.com.
"But Quaresma or Nani were also even more talented when they were young. But he works like crazy. He is so passionate when it comes to football that he always wants to be the best," he continued.
"That's why, if you're young, you should want to be that. It should be like that for all footballers... except for Messi.
"Because he is already incredible . He does things that no one else can do. That's why I see him as if he were out of this world. That's why I think that, in this world, Cristiano is the one who rules and Messi is above," he concluded.

Kevin Prince-Boateng spent a six-month loan spell at Barcelona in 2020, where he played alongside Lionel Messi and has played against Cristiano Ronaldo in Italy during his time with Sassuolo.
