The Frenchman posted an interesting photo on his Instagram where he posed alongside Tom Heaton, Marcus Rashford, Phil Jones, Donny van de Beek, Luke Shaw, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo also shared a similar photo with the caption “winning team”.

The Portugal superstar was a notable absentee alongside Rashford in the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa on Saturday, and it was believed the 36-year old picked up a hip injury.

From Ronaldo and Pogba’s post however, there are hints that the trio could be in contention to make a comeback to the squad for the side’s next game.

Pogba has been out of action since November 2021, when he suffered a muscle injury while training with France.

He is yet to make an appearance under new boss Ralf Rangnick, but could be a surprise inclusion for the clash against Brentford on Wednesday, January 19 or against West Ham over the weekend.

In a recent press conference, Rangnick had suggested that Pogba would not be available for team selection at least until late February.

"A week ago, I was told it would take another four or five weeks," Rangnick said at his press conference. "I've seen him this morning before the training session but currently I don't know how long it will take,” the gaffer said.
"He's not training with the team yet. As far as I know from the medical department, it will last another three weeks, four weeks and once he is then fit for training it does not necessarily mean he is also match-fit.
