Manchester United Star Cristiano Ronaldo Makes Stunning Revelation About Fellow Teammates
- Cristiano Ronaldo explains why he had clashed with teammates in the Manchester United dressing room
- The Portugal captain says he has clashed with certain individuals at Manchester United because they can't take criticism
- Manchester United are currently seventh on the Premier League table and have been very inconsistent under new manager Ralf Rangnick
Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has finally revealed the reason why he clashed with some of his teammates at the Old Trafford club.
The Red Devils were considered as one of the title favorites before the start of the season after capturing the services of Ronaldo from Juventus last summer but all that dreams and aspirations have quickly been extinguished after an inconsistent season.
The Red Devils currently lie 7th on the Premier League table and have been struggling both on the pitch and off it as they try to seal a Champions League spot for next season.
The Portuguese captain has however revealed in an interview as captured by The Mirror that one of the biggest problems he, Rangnick, and the other experienced players in the dressing room are facing is the fact that the youngsters apparently refuse to take their advice and this has become a huge challenge for the club.
"The mature players, the older players, can always help the younger players,"
"I can remember when I was 18, 19, 20, some older players spoke to me but I put that as 'Cristiano, you have to improve, they know more than you, they are more experienced than you, they passed through many bad moments'.
"But the other people do not accept that if you criticise them - I don't say this generation of our players but in general, I have kids, I know. Sometimes if you be a little bit harder they do the opposite. You have to find the right balance to speak with them.
This is Ronaldo's second stint at Old Trafford after he returned to United in the summer with five Ballons d'Or to his name and a cabinet full of trophies.
Fans React to Salah and Mane’s Absence After Liverpool Disappointing Carabao Cup 1st Leg Draw Against Arsenal
Earlier Sportsbrief reported Liverpool fans got a feel of what life without their African stars would be like after a lacklustre display against Arsenal in their Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg clash
The Reds failed to find any sort of spark despite the Gunners going a man down early on in the game when midfielder Granit Xhaka was red-carded after a reckless tackle on Diogo Jota.
Jurgen Klopp's men were particularly impotent in attack without their talismanic duo, mustering just one shot on target against a 10-man Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Top strikers Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane are currently at the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt and Senegal respectively alongside Guinean Naby Keita and therefore unavailable for selection.
Jurgen Klopp had earlier bragged he has the backup and firepower to cope without the pair while they’re at the Africa Cup of Nations, but Liverpool produced painfully little in a dour Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.
The result has now prompted football fans to react on social media as many feel the Reds are just an ordinary team without Salah and Mane.
