Pep Guardiola savagely celebrated in front of Liverpool player Kostas Tsimikas after Julian Alvarez grabbed an equaliser on Saturday afternoon.

Guardiola had seen his side fall behind to a 17th-minute strike from Mohamed Salah, only for Alvarez to restore parity with a fine finish 10 minutes later.

The Argentine was handed a rare Premier League start in the absence of Erling Haaland, who picked up a groin injury.

As soon as his goal went in, there were crazy celebrations at the Etihad with Guardiola leading them. The Spanish manager turned on Tsimikas, who was coming back from warming up.

Guardiola's celebrations

Guardiola appeared to celebrate right in front of Tsimikas, who opted not to reciprocate. Guardiola was later seen taunting Arthur Melo, who is yet to play a single minute since joining Liverpool on loan at the start of the season from Juventus.

Manchester City added further goals in the second half, with Ilkay Gundogan, Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne all scoring a goal apiece.

The huge win now cuts Arsenal's lead at the top of the table to five points ahead of their clash against Leeds United later in the day.

Haaland goes crazy with celebrations

At the same time, Sports Brief has reported that Erling Haaland went absolutely crazy after Manchester City equalised against Liverpool in a blockbuster Premier League match at the Etihad Stadium on April 1st.

Haaland was forced to sit out of the game after sustaining a groin injury at the start of the international break two weeks ago.

Mohamed Salah put Liverpool ahead after 17 minutes after a brilliant run by Diogo Jota. However, 10 minutes later, Haaland's replacement Julian Alvarez restored parity by scoring from close range. Cameras picked Haaland going ballistic in the stand area as he hugged his father Alfie Haaland.
