He then added that only Messi could single-handedly win a title for his side, SportsKeeda reported.
"Excepting Leo, there's no one player who can win a league on their own. It's about the team, and City's got a very talented roster and an exceptional staff. They'll fight until the very end."
Aguero's thoughts on Haaland
While Aguero stated that Haaland couldn't get the job done on his own, he did back the Norwegian to break records and play a major part in his former team's title chase.
Haaland's impressive season
The Man City striker has been on fire this season and has shown no signs of having to adjust to the physicality of the Premier League.
Below are his stats in all competitions so far this season.
Aguero on the title race
Aguero added that City would need the whole team firing if they are to chase down Arsenal. With the season now at the halfway mark, anything can still happen.
Aguero picks possible league winners
Sports Brief also reported on Aguero sending Arsenal a warning, as they eye Premier League glory for the first time since 2004.
The Gunners have emerged as the firm favourites to win the English top flight league this season, after a bright start to the campaign.
Despite Arsenal's advantage in the title race, Aguero contends there are at least three clubs still able to rival Mikel Arteta's men for the title.
