While he was completely shut out during the Manchester derby last weekend, the Norway international was able to announce his return with a hat-trick against Wolves on Sunday, January 22, against Wolves.
The 22-year-old opened the scoring for City five minutes before the break and went on to double the advantage in the 50th minute from the penalty spot.
The star forward went on to complete his treble four minutes later as City demolished Wolves 3-0 to get their campaign back on track.
Erling Haaland's hat-tricks
According to ESPN, Haaland has now scored more hat-tricks than Cristiano Ronaldo.
The City ace who is in his first season in the EPL has now scored an incredible four hat-tricks, one more than Ronaldo's tally of four.
The ex-Dortmund star scored his first hat-trick in a 4-2 victory over Crystal Palace back in August.
He replicated the feat four days later in Nottingham Forest's visit to the Etihad Stadium.
Haaland added another one in his side's 6-3 demolition of rivals Man United in October.
He will be hoping to continue with his fine run of form when the Citizens take on Tottenham in the EPL next Sunday.
Inside Haaland's rise to the top
Sports Brief had earlier reported that Haaland's rise to the top has been mercurial and quick. At barely 22 years of age, he is already dominating lists of the best strikers in the world with his ridiculous statistics in front of goal a clear testament of his vast potential.
The Manchester City star has been featured as the British GQ cover for the month of January. He has lifted the lid on a couple of issues as the Citizens folklore looks towards him to break the Champions League curse.
The Norwegian has built a reputation of 'ghosting' during games but the minimal touches he gets are usually devastating. His muscular frame has so far proven to be imposing to the abrasive and quick Premier League defenders.
