Matic had to stints at Chelsea with the first between 2009-2011, while the second was in 2014-2017. He won the Premier League twice and one FA Cup.

Yaya Toure opens up

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure revealed that he would like to patch up his differences with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Toure and Guardiola shared a frosty relationship over two spells in England and Spain. Toure did not enjoy significant game time as he would have liked under Guardiola.

At one point, the former Ivory Coast captain said that Guardiola did not like African players. In an exclusive interview, he expressed his interest in apologizing to Guardiola personally claiming that his comments were taken out of context.

Toure has in the past reached out to Guardiola, but the proven tactician hasn't responded to his messages yet.
