Yeboah remains the only African player to make it in the top five fastest to reach 20 goals in the English Premier League, according to BBC Match of the Day on Twitter.

His enviable feat is yet to be broken by another African player, despite the avalanche of top strikers from the continent who plied their trade in England.

Yeboah joined Leeds United in 1995, after winning back-to-back Bundesliga golden boots during his time in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt.

He returned to the European country in 1997 to join Hamburg SV, before later moving to Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Yeboah accuses Heynckes of racism

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Yeboah says he was forced to leave Eintracht Frankfurt in 1995, following the arrival of German trainer Jupp Heynckes.

The Ghana legend did not see eye to eye with the man he describes as a racist, due to his alleged mistreatment of foreign players.

In an interview with the BBC, Yeboah disclosed that Frankfurt had to choose between him as club captain and Heynckes as the manager.

Haaland sets new record

Football fans are convinced that every Premier League goal-scoring record is under threat, after Haaland’s latest masterclass.

The 21-year-old is proving to be a goal machine and this was the case once again, as Manchester City eventually broke down a stubborn Leeds at Elland Road.

His brace took him to 26 goals across all competitions in his first season in the English top flight, as Haaland became the fastest player to reach 20 Premier League goals in a single campaign.
