Latest Barcelona signing, Sergio Aguero has splashed huge sums of money on expensive gifts for staff of Premier League club Manchester City as he departed the club.

The Argentine who joined Etihad outfit in 2011 is leaving with a record of 260 goals having featured in 390 matches for the Citizens in all competitions.

Having spent a decade, it is now time for the legend to say goodbye to his loved ones at the club as his contract officially ends on Monday, May 31.

According to Per Sam Lee of the Athletic, Aguero showed unbelievable generosity to the club's staff prior to leaving the club he spent 10 years at.

It was gathered that the striker purchased expensive watches for every member of staff at the club’s first team building.

The items were either made of tag Heuer or Hublot which costs over £1,000 (about N412,000) each.

He went further to raffle off his highly expensive Ranger Rover Evoque model which costs over £30,000 (about N17.5million).

One of the kit men won the car, which is said to have left Aguero very pleased.

The 32-year-old also made a massive contribution to a cash pot that the squad hand over to support staff twice a year.

All that means, in total, that Aguero spent over £90,000 on gifts for the club's staff. What a classy gesture from a Man City legend! Club manager Sergio Aguero earlier said via GiveMeSport:

“We love him so much. He’s a special person. He’s so nice. He helped me a lot … We cannot replace him, we cannot.
"There are many players in this club – Joe Hart, David Silva [are others] - who helped us to be this club. We have his legacy. He showed his quality in 30 minutes.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Barcelona have sealed a five-year deal for out-of-contract Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia this summer.

The 20-year-old will have a staggering £343 million inserted in his contract by the Catalan club to prevent other suitors from luring him away.

Garcia will become the second City player to join the Camp Nou outfit this summer after Sergio Aguero.

Since he moved to the Etihad Stadium in 2019, the youngster played 35 games for the Manchester club in all competitions and assisted just one goal in the process.
