Guardiola's current contract will expire at the end of this season with no contract negotiations in sight. It is believed that he will decide his future after the World Cup.

Arteta served as Guardiola's assistant and is believed to play the same football brand as his tutor. Bayern Munich Head Coach Julian Nagelsmann is also on City's radar. Nagelsmaan has quickly built a reputation for himself as a modern-day manager.

Surprisingly, River Plate's Marcelo Gallardo is also on the list. Gallardo has countless trophies in South America but is not tested in Europe and this could be a huge gamble.
