  • Pep Guardiola and Mohamed Salah set their rivalry aside to have a chat after Liverpool's Premier League clash against Man City
  • Salah was the match's hero, as his solitary goal condemned Man City to their first defeat of the season after 10 outings
  • Despite the striker's role in City's loss, Guardiola was still able to spare some time to chat with the Egyptian forward
  • The specifics of the conversation remained a mystery before a professional lip reader unravelled the finer details

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was spotted having a private chat with Mohamed Salah after the full-time whistle of their clash at Anfield last week.

The talks came after Salah had sunk City in the 76th minute of the tense Premier League encounter, which saw Jurgen Klopp sent off.

The tie looked set to end in a goalless draw before Salah picked on Alisson Becker's long ball to slot home the winner.

After the match, Pep spared some time to converse with the Egyptian forward, with cameras showing the duo smiling as they spoke. However, details of the conversation remained scant as fans pondered on what the duo may have discussed.

A professional lip reader has now unravelled the nitty-gritty of the tête-à-tête the duo had. According to The Sun, the lip reaper reckons they spoke about one of the controversial refereeing decisions from the high-octane match.

Via The Mirror, John Cassidy reckons Guardiola also took some time to wish Salah the best:

"Have a good season, good game, you too, what's up?" Pep is said to have told Salah.

Meanwhile, Salah's winner for Liverpool condemned Man City to their first EPL defeat of the season after 10 outings and leaves the reigning champions trailing league leaders Arsenal by four points.

Nunez slammed for denying Salah goal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on how Darwin Nunez was the subject of mass criticism on social media, after his performance during Liverpool's Premier League meeting with Man City.

Jurgen Klopp drafted the summer signing into his attack to partner Mohamed Salah in the hunt for goals, when the Reds hosted City at Anfield on October 16.

The highlight of the forward's performance was deep in the second half when he was involved in a 3-on-1 moment. Rather than passing the ball to Salah, who was in a better position to score, the former Benfica star chose to take a shot at the goal.
