  • Manchester City have now trained their efforts on securing the services of Portuguese full-back Raphaël Guerreiro from Borussia Dortmund
  • The Premier League champions have had to look at a different option after Chelsea beat them to the signing of Marc Cucurella
  • The club is currently short on defenders following the exit of Oleksandr Zinchenko and injury to Aymeric Laporte

Days after losing out on their top target Marc Cucurella, Manchester City have now shifted their attention to Raphaël Guerreiro.

The Borussia Dortmund's fullback has come up on Pep Guardiola's radar as he continues to search for Oleksandr Zinchenko's replacement, who left for Arsenal.

Chelsea completed the signing of Marc Cucurella

Guardiola was originally interested in getting Cucurella from Brighton. Sports Brief had earlier reported that Chelsea have today confirmed the signing of Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Premier League giants took to their social media pages to confirm the completion of negotiations between all the involved parties. Top sports journalist Fabrizio Romano had confirmed the transfer two days ago, only for Brighton to rebuff the claims.

However, Chelsea has since posted a video of Cucurella confirming he will soon be linking up with his new club.

Bernardo Silva breaks his silence over a potential move to Barcelona

At the same time, Sports Brief has also reported that Bernardo Silva has broken his silence about the uncertainty surrounding his future amid keen interest from Barcelona.

Silva, who is held in high esteem by Barca coach Xavi Hernandez, admits he doesn't know if he will still be at Manchester City beyond the summer transfer window.

Despite reports this week that no bid has been made by the Blaugrana, the Portuguese international has refused to rule out a move out of City in the coming weeks and confirmed his personal stance over leaving.
