  • Barely 24 hours after leaving Al Ahly, Pitso Mosimane is apparently already on the radar of interested clubs
  • However, whoever will land the 57-year-old for his services might have to cough up an eye-watering amount per month
  • It appears that Qatar, where Mosimane finished his playing career, is where he is in demand as he plots his next move

Fresh from the unexpected announcement that he had chosen to part ways with the Egyptian superclub, it appears Pitso Mosimane's path is clear already.

The Red Devils announced that the 57-year-old had decided to call it quits with the Cairo-based club less than two years after signing on. In that time, he led them to two consecutive CAF Champions League titles, two African Super Cups, two bronze medals at the FIFA Club World Cup in 2021 and 2022, and an Egyptian FA Cup.

Wherever he goes, he definitely won't come cheap, according to SowetanLIVE. The publication reported that Mosimane earns as much as R2.6 million a month, which puts him out of range for South African clubs except perhaps Mamelodi Sundowns, where he is not expected to return for unfinished business.

According to iDiski Times, his next destination could be the Middle East. Having been linked with Qatari side Al-Rayyan SC, it has now emerged that another unnamed club in the country has also made an approach to Mosimane.

Mosimane finished his playing career in the 1990s for another Qatar side in the form of Al Sadd. With FIFA World Cup headed to the oil-rich nation, the league season will kick off on 01 August, with no indication that he will be on the sidelines.

Also, Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr is reportedly interested in 'Jingles'' services.

Egyptian giants Al Ahly part ways with coach Pitso Mosimane after less than two years in the job

In a bombshell of note, Al Ahly and Pitso Mosimane are no longer in union.

As reported by Sports Brief, the club announced earlier that it had agreed with the 57-year-old Mosimane for the termination of his contract.

Samy Komsan will take over in an interim capacity until a permanent coach is found to replace Mosimane.
