Mamelodi Sundowns fans turned out in their thousands to celebrate their beloved team's success in the form of an open-top bus parade on the streets of Tshwane.

Masandawana players thoroughly enjoyed showing off the DStv Premiership, MTN 8 and Nedbank Cup trophies to the jubilant supporters who now consider success as second nature.

As was reported by the City Press, this event was dubbed the #YellowParade, weaving through the suburbs and the business districts of the capital. The day's proceedings had been preceded by a "Breakfast of Champions" in Midrand near the club's headquarters at Chloorkop, according to Soccer Laduma.

According to the City Press, club chairman Tlophie Motsepe said as the parade reached its conclusion:

“I must say how special it is to see all of you here today. We didn’t expect so many people to come and celebrate your champions. You are a special group of supporters.I would like to thank the dedicated men and women who work at Mamelodi Sundowns – from the management, the security guys, the people who cut the grass, the people who clean after us and the people who cook for us.”

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile equals former Kaizer Chiefs striker Collins Mbesuma's record

Premier Soccer League Footballer of the Year Peter Shalulile has drawn level with Zambian striker Collins Mbesuma for a particular accolade.

As reported by Sports Brief, aside from the top player award, he was also named the Players' Player of the Season for his exploits in front of goals. He struck 30 times in 45 appearances across all competitions he participated in this past season.

Shalulile equalled Mbesuma as the only other player to win the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot twice.
