  • Premier Soccer League side Mamelodi Sundowns showed absolutely no mercy in swatting aside ABC Motsepe League side Summerfield Dynamos
  • A brace from Kermit Erasmus, and goals from Gaston Sirino, Lesedi Kapinga, and Pavol Safranko gave Sundowns a more than comfortable 5-0 victory
  • The victory ensured that the Brazilians kept their dream alive of winning a second domestic treble in three seasons

Mamelodi Sundowns made relatively light work of Summerfield Dynamos in the rain of Tshwane in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal at Loftus Versfeld.

A brace from Kermit Erasmus, and goals from Gaston Sirino, Lesedi Kapinga, and Pavol Safranko gave the Brazilians a thumping 5-0 victory.

It was very clear from the onset that the best Premier Soccer League team would have no match against a side doing very well in the ABC Motsepe League.

In the process, Sundowns booked their place in the semifinals, where Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Marumo Gallants are waiting. Royal AM and University of Pretoria will meet tomorrow to decide the last semifinalist.

Nedbank Cup match report: Marumo Gallants edges Baroka FC to reach the last four

Marumo Gallants edged past their Limpopo rivals Baroka FC in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday afternoon.

As reported on Sports Brief, Bahlabane Ba Ntwa is the second outfit from the province to qualify for the semifinals after Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila defeated SuperSport United last night.

Gallants were in control of the beginning from the onset as they dominated Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele, who are more interested in securing their status in the Premier Soccer League
