Speaking after the game, Ramovic said that Komphela has sworn at him, adding how disappointed he was in Komphela’s conduct, Soccer Laduma confirmed.

Mngqithi though has played down the argument, saying that was just a heated discussion about events in the game but that it was a part of football, KickOff reported.

He added that there was no malicious intent or disrespect in Komphela’s actions.

Fans have agreed with Mngqithi’s comments, adding that Komphela was too nice a person to be swearing at other coaches.

Francis Mvelase Ka Guda:

"Coach Steve used those jawbreakers and the poor guy thought he was being insulted. Sorry coach if you felt insulted."

Wally Walter:

"Bra Steve won't swear at you. Maybe you asked him to drop your cv at Chloorkop without giving him petrol money"

Thanduxolo Thuthiwe:

"I can't buy the story, Steve is a humble person. Something hides behind the scenes."

Mjikeni Daki:

"Steve will never say anything bad to another man unless he's bitter because they were thrashed and it happens in football. Jola is a self-esteemed someone. I suspect Ramovic is being emotional because of the results"

Sbusiso Zungu:

"This is a men's game, expect the mind and dirty games"

Sead Ramovic is unhappy with Steve Komphela, tensions high between TS Galaxy and Mamelodi Sundowns coaches

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on the matter, saying that tensions were still high between TS Galaxy coach, Sead Ramovic and Mamelodi Sundowns’ co-coach, Steve Komphela after their war of words.

The duo traded words on the touchline during Mamelodi Sundowns’ win over TS Galaxy in the Premier Soccer League. Eventually, they had to be separated by fellow staff members, as calmer heads prevailed.

As reported by KickOff, Ramovic accused Komphela of unprofessional conduct, saying that the Sundowns’ co-coach swore at him. The war of words began when TS Galaxy player, Lindokuhle Mbatha, committed two rash challenges on Sundowns’ players, prompting Komphela to ask the referee to book the player.
