Senegal and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane visited his village, Bambali after an impressive campaign in the just concluded African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The prolific striker guided the Lions of Teranga to a second-place finish, after losing 1-0 to Algeria in the finals of the competition.

Mane scored three goals through the 32nd edition of the continental showpiece as Senegal enjoyed a terrific campaign to the finals.
However, despite suffering a heartbreak in the hands of the Dessert Foxes, Mane still spared some time to return home to inspect the construction of a school that he is funding.

Photos of the 27-year-old inspecting the project have since surfaced online, showing the Liverpool ace in a company of locals.
The former Southampton forward, who was in a jolly mood sported a white t-shirts, designer jeans pants.

His selfless gesture has garnered admiration and applause from awestruck social media users.
One posted: "What a top class man."
Another tweeted: "He's a Liverpool hero. But more importantly he's the people's hero."

Mane, who is understood to be a popular figure in Bambali has in the past built a mosque and a hospital.
In the run-up to the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid, Mane bought 300 Liverpool jerseys and sent them to Bambali.
