Manchester United and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland but latest reports have it that the striker could end up joining Premier League champions Liverpool.
The 20-year-old came to limelight during his stint with German side RB Salzburg before his move to his present club Dortmund in January.
Haaland’s magnificent form has attracted several big clubs across Europe as he has so far scored 24 goals in his 27 appearances for Dortmund.
He was earlier linked with Manchester United, but the Red Devils missed a chance to sign the youngster during the January transfer window.
United are still reportedly interested in getting the player as well as Real Madrid, but RB Salsburg sporting director Cristoph Freund has hinted that the forward will likely join Liverpool.
Speaking to podcast Sky90, as cited in SunSport:
“He can play for any club in the world.
“With his mentality, his will and self confidence, he will be able to make a mark on European football in the next ten years. Erling really bit us.
“The talks with Dortmund were short. They told us they had come to an agreement. we didn’t have that much influence on it, but it worked out correctly.
“Many clubs were interested and got it in touch. In the end, it was a decision made by the player.”
The 18-year-old has been dubbed the ‘new Paul Pogba’ following his style of play, but reports say Ajax are unwilling to let go.
Gravenberch who just signed a fresh three-year contract at the Dutch club is in high demand from several big European clubs.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Arsenal are looking to bring another midfielder to the Emirates Stadium and now the Gunners are considering a cheaper bid for Dominik Szoboszlai as a possible alternative for Lyon ace Houssem Aouar.
Mikel Arteta’s men are looking at a possibility of bringing the 20-year-old to the Premier League in January.
