David De Gea suffers injury days before Liverpool clash

- David De Gea is now doubtful for Manchester United's Premier League clash against Liverpool

Manchester United have suffered a major injury set back days before their Premier League clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old was in action for Spain in their Euro 2020 qualifier against Sweden until he limped out of the pitch in the 60th minute.

Preliminary reports reveal the former Atletico Madrid shot stopped suffered a muscular injury while trying to clear the ball off his side's danger zone.

De Gea signaled for help from the medical team and was immediately replaced by Chelsea stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

After the match, the Red Devils confirmed the news on their official website hinting he might be available for this weekend's crunch clash.

"De Gea's fitness will no doubt be a concern for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of this weekend’s huge Premier League clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford," the club said in a statement.
"The boss will give an update on the Spaniard’s chances of playing during his pre-match press conference on Friday," the statement continued.
